FAQ

Are your rings resizable?

For orders over $1,000, we offer one complimentary resize—if it’s possible! Many of our pieces are antique and over 100 years old, which means resizing could compromise their structure. We always prioritize the safety of the ring, so not all pieces will be eligible.

Curious if a specific ring can be resized? Just shoot us a message—we’re happy to take a look and will do our best to accommodate.

As a general rule, we recommend resizing no more than two sizes up or down. That said, some rings are sturdier than others, so there’s always a chance.

You can request resizing by emailing us or leaving a note in your cart during checkout. Not sure of your size? We’ll gladly send you a ring sizer, free of charge.

Please note: resizing typically takes 7–9 business days to complete once scheduled.

Can I try your jewelry on in person?

Not just yet—but we’re working on it! While we don’t have a physical storefront (for now), we will be setting up shop eventually—exciting, we know!

In the meantime, we’re fully online but more than happy to schedule a virtual Zoom appointment to show you any pieces you're eyeing. Think of it as your own personal jewelry preview, from the comfort of your couch.

Contact us if you wish to set up a Zoom meeting.

I'm looking for something specific… can you find it?

Absolutely! We’re always on the hunt and would love to help you find a piece that’s uniquely you. Just reach out with the details of what you’re looking for, and we’ll start the search on your behalf.

Can I place jewelry on hold?

Yes! We offer a complimentary 3-business-day hold with a fully refundable 20% deposit—just to give you a little breathing room while you decide. If the full payment is not made after the 3-business-day hold, the order will be canceled, the deposit refunded, and the item will be reslisted.

What payment options do you have?

We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and Zelle.

We also accept wire transfers and certified checks. Please note that these may take 3–4 business days to clear, and we won’t ship your piece until the payment is fully processed.

Looking to spread things out? We offer Shop Pay Installments at checkout, which let you break up your total into biweekly or monthly payments. Best part? You’ll still receive your jewel right away.

What If the Piece I Purchased Needs Repair?

Please remember that all our pieces are authentic antique or vintage items—they’ve lived previous lives! We thoroughly assess each piece before shipment to ensure it’s in the best possible condition. If you encounter any structural issues that aren’t due to normal wear, tear, or accident, we’re happy to cover the cost of the repair within 6 months of purchase. This includes:

Repairing a shank broken at the sizing seam
      Tightening prongs
      Polishing
      Melee stone replacement

Note: This coverage does not include the replacement of the center stone, and we highly recommend insuring your jewelry. We recommend BriteCo.

After the six-month coverage period, we’re still here to help—just reach out, and we’ll provide a quote for repair and shipping fees.

How We Authenticate Antique & Vintage Jewelry at Clover Collective Antiques

All items are thoroughly inspected before being listed. Our process includes:

1. Verifying Style & Materials

We assess whether the style and materials align with the expected era—evaluating craftsmanship, gemstone cuts, clasps, patina, and overall wear for authenticity.

2. Examining Hallmarks & Maker’s Marks

Hallmarks provide valuable data—metal type (e.g., gold, silver, platinum), purity (like 18k or 925), assay location, and often the date. (Wikipedia)
Maker’s marks help identify designers or brands, and country-specific marks or date letters help date items accurately.

3. Assessing Condition

We document any scuffs, dings, loose/missing stones, or non-original elements in the item descriptions to ensure full transparency before sale.

4. Testing Metal Purity

If there's uncertainty about the metal item, we conduct non-destructive tests-such as XRF or touchstone assays, to confirm if the piece is, for example, sterling silver, 9k gold, or platinum. Any unknown metal alloy will be referred to as "silvertone" or goldtone". (Wikipedia)

5. Authenticating Gemstones

All diamonds and gemstones are natural, earth-mined unless clearly noted otherwise. Any synthetic, simulated, or lab-grown gemstones are disclosed in the product title and listings.

6. Evaluating Provenance & Age

Doubts about a piece's provenance or age lead us to consult other independent jewelry valuers or certified gemologists before listing.
