Victorian Pinchbeck Banded Agate Bezel Set Brooch

The Victorians were very fond of agate. During Queen Victoria’s reign, agate was highly sought after and the height of fashion. It's hard to imagine today, as we tend to draw near more flashy and sparkle-heavy jewelry. Victorian agate jewelry was historical, full of nature, and straightforward, just like their ideals.
